Privacy

LiveDrop is built so that as little of your data as possible ever reaches us. This page says exactly what we keep and why.

When you sign in with Twitch

Twitch tells us your Twitch user ID, username, display name and profile picture link. We keep those to show your account and to know which overlays are yours. Signing in asks Twitch for no permissions. We check the sign-in with Twitch once and then cancel it straight away, so we never hold a Twitch token for your account.

We set one cookie, ld_session, to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. We store only a one-way hash of it. Signing out deletes it.

Your overlays

We keep the designs you save (style, colours, goal names and settings), a private link for each overlay, and which overlays you own. During the beta every overlay is free; we record that you have one, never any payment details.

Your overlay in OBS

When you connect an overlay to Twitch, that approval and its Twitch token stay inside OBS on your computer. Your follows, subs, cheers, raids and chat go from Twitch directly to OBS. They never pass through LiveDrop and we never store them.

Each time OBS starts an overlay it asks LiveDrop once for the saved design. While an overlay waits for approval, it sends us the short Twitch code it is showing (never the token) so your setup page can offer a one-click Connect button. We delete that code within 30 minutes.

What we don't do

No analytics or advertising trackers, no selling or sharing of your data, and no reading of your chat or events on our servers.

Where it lives

LiveDrop runs on Cloudflare. Your account and overlays are stored in Cloudflare's Oceania region.

Deleting your account

Use Delete my account on My overlays. We turn off all your overlays, sign you out everywhere and remove your Twitch name, username and picture. To also stop OBS using your Twitch approval, remove LiveDrop Overlays under Connections in your Twitch settings.
